Position Overview

For the level of projects worked and for security purposes, this role is restricted to UK nationals only.

As Senior Project Manager you will provide programme leadership and governance for complex design / multiple aircraft projects: set programme strategy, secure resources, manage top-tier supplier contracts, own regulatory engagement and certification strategy, and ensure project-level risks and benefits are realised for organisational objectives.

You’ll lead day-to-day delivery of complex, often concurrent / inter-linked, projects through an Integrated Project team and will be accountable for the delivery of a complex aerospace project or a series of projects, as well as translating design/airworthiness inputs from the Design Lead, and Control Account Managers, into a clear plan (scope, schedule, budget, risks).

The Project Management discipline orchestrates the delivery of engineering projects by translating the technical vision set with the design lead into a controlled plan of scope, schedule, budget, risk and resources, while coordinating cross-functional teams both within, and external to, Engineering. In this role, you’ll establish and maintain integration plans, milestone schedules and change-control processes so that Systems engineers can manage architecture and requirements, Electronics and Mechanical teams can meet form/fit/function and manufacturability constraints, and Software teams can align development, test and release cycles.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
