Senior Project Manager – Rail & Infrastructure
£523–£660 per day | Inside IR35 | 10-month contract
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a major rail engineering and electrical safety programme across the Eastern Region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project professional with a strong rail industry background, who understands engineering delivery, governance, standards implementation, and technology change.

- Contract: 10 months
- Rate: £523–£660 per day
- IR35: Inside IR35
- Location: London / York / Peterborough
- Working Pattern: 3 days per week office-based
- Clearance: BPSS
- Sector: Rail / Infrastructure / Engineering
The Role
You will provide project management and delivery support to a small engineering team working across electrical safety and regional implementation activities. The role will involve coordinating multiple workstreams, developing project plans, monitoring cost and progress, managing risks, and communicating developments to key operational and engineering stakeholders.

About You
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager with:

- Strong experience delivering rail infrastructure projects
- Proven engineering project management experience
- An appreciation and understanding of 25kV OLE isolations
- Experience working within a complex rail governance environment
- Experience with procurement and efficiency governance
- Strong understanding of risk control frameworks
- Experience managing project plans, costs, reporting, and multiple workstreams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience in electrical safety, OLE, traction power, or railway engineering would be highly advantageous.
