Senior Project Manager - Transmission

Reporting to: Business General Manager Business Unit: GGP

Purpose of the Role

This Senior Project Manager role will have total responsibility for the delivery of all projects within the GGP Business Unit.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery
  • Adhere to time, budget, and quality standards
  • Maximise productivity and cost control while maintaining trust-based customer relationships

The position reports directly to the Business Unit General Manager.


Responsibilities & Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear direction to optimise resource utilisation through improved work programming and scheduling
  • Driving continuous improvement via innovation and best-practice identification
  • Ensuring projects are delivered with best-in-class safety and quality
  • Safeguarding pre-calculated tendered margins
  • Managing claims for timely cash flow
  • Leading and motivating employees and sub-contractors (including addressing poor performance)
  • Managing on-site cost budgets
  • Preparing customer-oriented periodic review outputs as directed
  • Maximising productivity, right-sizing teams, and planning executions
  • Resolving all HR/site-level human resource issues, including disciplinary actions
  • Delivering financial progress updates and reporting to the Finance Department
  • Handling customer interactions with professionalism and courtesy
  • Meeting key KPIs, including:
    • Number of safety audits undertaken
    • Product profit margins
    • Operating costs
    • Cash flow
    • Attendance levels
    • Acting as a role model for Omexom Company Values

Qualifications & Experience

Compulsory Requirements:

  • Proven managerial track record with real-time execution under pressure
  • Expertise in budget and trade-cost management
  • Ability to efficiently programme and plan works
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate industrial staff
  • Customer-facing mindset (prioritising client needs)
  • Proven financial performance in a contractual/commercial environment
  • Strong understanding of quality and safety management
  • Demonstrated ability to meet contractual targets
  • Capacity for detailed, high-efficiency task execution
  • Exceptional personal integrity, resilience, and adaptability in dynamic markets
