CMC Markets is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager
CMC Markets is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, multi-stream business change initiatives from inception through to successful delivery. This is a high-impact role, partnering across business and technology teams to deliver strategic transformation in a dynamic, regulated fintech environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead complex, cross-functional programmes spanning technology, operations, compliance, risk, finance and front office teams, ensuring alignment and on-time delivery.
- Own end-to-end project lifecycle management, from initiation and mobilisation through to closure and benefits realisation.
- Develop and maintain robust project plans, governance frameworks, RAID logs and high-quality reporting packs for Steering Committees and senior stakeholders.
- Continuously reassess delivery plans to reflect evolving business objectives balancing competing demands across multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities
- Provide clear impact assessments and options analysis when reprioritisation is required, enabling leadership to make informed decisions through structured evaluation of risk, cost, and benefit.
- Partner with business leaders to define target operating models, driving organisational readiness, process redesign, and behavioural change as required.
- Support cross-functional resource planning, balancing demand across business and technology workstreams.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, providing clear, concise and influential communication.

What we’re looking for
- Proven track record as a Project Manager delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects within regulated environments within Financial Services.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at senior levels.
- Experience of working in a regulated environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with sound judgement and strong prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Comfortable operating autonomously, taking ownership and driving outcomes with pace and precision.
- High attention to detail combined with the ability to maintain a strategic perspective.
- Adaptable and resilient, able to manage competing demands in a fast-moving environment.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and governance best practice.
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager or Change Manager.
