Senior Project Manager – Software Delivery
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £70,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite
We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex software and digital delivery projects from initial planning through to successful implementation.
The Role
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex software and digital projects
- Manage projects with budgets of £1m+, including forecasting, burn rates and financial reporting
- Define project scope, objectives, estimates, timelines and deliverables
- Work closely with developers, Solution Architects, designers and technical leads
- Act as the key link between technical teams and business/client stakeholders
- Identify and manage risks, assumptions, dependencies and issues
- Oversee project resourcing and ensure teams are appropriately staffed
- Use Agile delivery methodologies to drive successful project outcomes
- Maintain project documentation across tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Continuously improve delivery processes and ways of working

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within software/digital delivery
- Experience delivering £1m+ projects
- Strong understanding of the full software development and delivery lifecycle
- Experience managing complex software builds, integrations and technical projects
- Comfortable working with Solution Architects and technical development teams
- Strong commercial and financial project management experience
- Confident managing senior stakeholders and client relationships
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
