Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the team.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
The nuclear defence sector in the UK is vital for maintaining national security and strategic stability. Key Deliverables:
- Lead and motivate project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across projects.
- Manage stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships.
- Manage project scope, cost, schedule, quality and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee procurement and manage contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed time, cost and performance requirements.
- Monitor project progress and supplier performance.
- Complete regular project, commercial and performance reporting.
- Ensure projects meet required governance and assurance standards.
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to wider business objectives.

Key Requirements / Qualifications:
Essential:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience managing major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from design through to handover.
- Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and project delivery.
- Experience managing cost, risk, change and programme.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors and consultants.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
- Chartered or working towards chartership.
- NEC4 ECC Project Manager accreditation, or willingness to achieve it.
Desirable:
- SMSTS or equivalent qualification.
- Experience delivering civil engineering, infrastructure or defence projects.
- APM qualification or equivalent project management experience.
- Experience using contract administration systems such as CEMAR.
