Senior Project Manager
Edinburgh - Hybrid, 2–3 days per week onsite
£60k - £70k + Benefits
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a global organisation, supporting the delivery of a range of IT projects. You’ll be joining an established IT team of around 35 people, which includes a smaller, dedicated Project Management team.
This is an environment where processes and ways of working are still developing, so there’s an opportunity to improve project processes, governance, and controls. The role would suit someone who is comfortable working in a less structured environment and enjoys putting processes in place.
The role
- Manage a portfolio of around 3–4 IT projects at a time, overseeing delivery from initiation through to go-live.
- Take a key role in delivering a range of IT projects across the business.
- Manage both technical delivery and business readiness, ensuring teams and stakeholders are prepared for any changes.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, challenge, and document business requirements, particularly where Business Analyst support isn't available.
- Help develop and improve project processes, governance, reporting, and controls.
- Maintain RAID logs, track project progress, and provide clear, regular updates to stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
