FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6-12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Edinburgh.
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide strategic leadership and portfolio oversight across an enterprise-wide AI transformation programme.
Operating between senior leadership and delivery teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for prioritising initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring delivery remains aligned to organisational objectives.
This role is suited to an experienced professional with a proven track record of managing complex technology portfolios.
Responsibilities
Portfolio & Transformation Leadership
- Support prioritisation of initiatives entering the AI Acceleration Centre.
- Work with senior leadership to determine transformation priorities.
- Develop portfolio roadmaps and delivery strategies.
- Drive alignment between business objectives and delivery activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage and influence senior technology and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate decision-making across complex stakeholder groups.
- Present programme updates, risks and recommendations to leadership teams.
- Build consensus across multiple business functions.

Governance & Delivery Oversight
- Manage multiple transformation workstreams simultaneously.
- Monitor programme health, delivery performance and benefits realisation.
- Resolve resource conflicts and competing priorities.
- Ensure effective governance and reporting standards are maintained.
- Drive successful adoption outcomes across the portfolio.
About You
- Significant programme or portfolio management experience.
- Experience delivering large-scale technology transformation programmes.
- Strong executive stakeholder management capabilities.
- Portfolio governance and prioritisation expertise.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate in highly complex organisational environments.
Desirable:
- Experience with enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to AI-enabled delivery models.
- Understanding of software engineering and technology operating models.
