Senior Projects Manager

Salary: £40,778 pro rata (Nation-wide) / £43,903 pro rata (Greater London)

Location: York, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cambridge, Swindon, Bristol or Portsmouth

Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with flexible working options

Contract: Two-year fixed-term contract

Hours: Part-time, 0.5 FTE

Overview

Our client, a public heritage organisation, is seeking a Senior Projects Manager to lead the delivery of a portfolio of income generation projects and initiatives.

You will work closely with senior governance stakeholders, business development colleagues, external partners and multidisciplinary teams to manage projects supporting income generation objectives. The role may also include line management responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of a portfolio of income generation projects and initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior responsible stakeholders and governance boards to support effective portfolio delivery.
  • Manage projects supporting income generation and business development objectives.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and maintain delivery against agreed priorities.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with internal colleagues, external collaborators and partners.
  • Analyse project information and communicate progress, issues and recommendations clearly.
  • Support effective project and portfolio governance.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of wider income generation objectives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable project management and delivery experience.
  • Relevant project management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, Agile or equivalent.
  • Experience working with and/or supporting governance boards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to analyse and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.

Desirable

  • Project management experience within commercial and/or business development activity involving income generation initiatives.
