Senior Project Manager – Digital Products
Manchester
Hybrid - Tuesday & Thursday in the office
Up to £70,000
Own £1m+ Digital Projects. Lead Client Relationships. Deliver Products People Use.
We’re partnering with an established digital product and consultancy business looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-value digital projects for major clients.
This is a client-facing digital delivery role, ideal for someone from a digital agency, consultancy, software or product environment. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams across Product, Engineering, Design, Architecture and Strategy, taking projects from discovery and estimation through development, testing and launch.
You’ll have genuine ownership of delivery, client relationships and commercial performance, helping shape project scope, delivery strategy and financial outcomes from the outset.
This is not an internal IT Project Manager role. The focus is on building and improving customer-facing web platforms, mobile applications and software products.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead £1m+ digital projects from discovery, scoping and estimation through to delivery and launch.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams across Product, Engineering, Design, Architecture and Strategy.
- Work directly with senior client stakeholders, managing expectations, delivery priorities and project outcomes.
- Shape project scope, estimates, delivery plans and approaches alongside technical and commercial teams.
- Take ownership of project financials, including budgets, forecasting, burn rates, invoicing and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Coordinate resources, multiple workstreams and delivery squads, ensuring projects remain on track across scope, timelines, quality and budget.
- Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies and changing client requirements.
- Oversee major product releases, new functionality and ongoing digital product improvements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
