We have an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced Professionally Qualified Project Manager to join our National Project Management team which sits within our London office. As a Senior Project Manager, you will support the development of a credible business stream within the network of our commercial teams and manage key client projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope. You will contribute to the growth and development of the Project Management team by helping to mentor and train the more junior members.

Our busy National Project Management team consists of a team of 8 working alongside Quantity Surveying and Building Surveying teams. This role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to work within a growing team with lots of room for career progression.

Main tasks:

  • Project Lead: Act as the project lead, bridging the gap between our clients, external architects, and building contractors. You will be responsible for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to exacting quality standards.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Lead end-to-end delivery from feasibility, planning, and design, through to construction and post-handover.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage project budgets, conduct cost appraisals, and process contract variations.
  • Procurement & Contracts: Assist and lead when appropriate consultant and contractor brief setting and tendering process. Be able to administer construction contracts (e.g., JCT or NEC4).
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential delays or financial risks, proactively implementing mitigating solutions.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works comply with CDM regulations, Building Safety Act, and health & safety standards.

What will it take to be successful?

You will be an experienced Project Manager registered with either MRICS / MAPM / CIOB or equivalent professional body. We are looking for enthusiasm, integrity and a can-do attitude; someone who has the ability to manage multiple projects and deal with a variety of work. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where you will need to be flexible in your approach and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team. You will be prepared to participate in managing and developing other team members, while actively seeking out continuous self-development. Additionally, you will be competent with MS Office and hold a full clean driving licence.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in construction project management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Building Surveying or other related field.
  • Professional qualified to MRICS, MCIOB, APM etc.

Contract Knowledge:

  • Strong familiarity with standard forms of contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).

Leadership:

  • Exceptional communication and team management skills with a track record of driving multi-disciplinary teams.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project) and RIBA plan of works along with Excel and Power Bi.
