Senior Project Manager
Location: Leeds (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite)
Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 (DOE) + discretionary bonus
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex digital platforms and large-scale website programmes within a growing, employee-owned digital agency.
This role is suited to someone who thrives on ownership. You will lead multi-workstream projects from discovery through to launch, working across integration-heavy platforms, ecommerce and payment journeys, logged-in experiences, complex CMS builds and content-rich website rebuilds.
You will operate at the centre of delivery, aligning clients, technical teams and third-party partners while maintaining control of scope, timelines, budgets and commercial performance.
What you will be doing
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for end-to-end delivery across complex digital projects, ensuring clarity, control and commercial rigour throughout.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading projects from discovery and definition through to launch and handover
- Creating and maintaining delivery plans, timelines, critical paths and project governance
- Managing RAID, dependencies, release planning and multiple workstreams
- Managing scope, budgets, forecasting, profitability and change control
- Coordinating developers, designers, clients and third-party partners
- Working closely with technical leads across integrations, authentication, data flows and ecommerce functionality
- Building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and managing expectations
- Managing resourcing, project reporting and account health
- Overseeing QA, testing, content migration and successful handover
- Supporting and mentoring more junior Project Managers

What we are looking for
Essential experience:
- Proven experience leading large and complex digital projects end to end
- Experience delivering integration-heavy platforms, ecommerce/payment journeys, logged-in experiences or complex CMS websites
- Experience managing multi-workstream projects, ideally in the 2,000-3,000+ hour range
- Strong project governance including RAID, dependencies, critical paths and change control
- Strong senior client and stakeholder management
- Commercial ownership across budgets, forecasting, profitability and invoicing
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and third-party partners
- Confidence working closely with technical teams and understanding technical dependencies
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment

Desirable experience:
- Digital agency or client-services background
- Complex content migrations and large content estates
- Agile, Waterfall and phased delivery experience
- People leadership or mentoring experience
About you
You’ll be an experienced digital Project Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of complex, high-stakes delivery. You’ll be organised, commercially aware and confident managing senior clients, technical teams and multiple workstreams.
You don’t need to be a developer, but you should be technically confident enough to ask the right questions, understand dependencies and translate complexity into clear plans and communication.
