Senior Project Manager
£60,000 - £75,000

Carriera is partnering with a growing and highly regarded construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Project Manager for its Birmingham office.
With a strong pipeline of industrial and logistics developments already secured and further growth planned across the Midlands and wider UK market, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business delivering some of the country's most significant warehousing, manufacturing and logistics schemes.
Projects typically range from multi-million-pound refurbishment and expansion works through to large-scale industrial and logistics developments for developers, occupiers and institutional clients. You'll play a leading role in project delivery, taking ownership from early feasibility and planning stages through to completion and handover.
This position offers genuine responsibility, direct client exposure and a clear route towards Associate level within a collaborative and ambitious team.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of industrial and logistics projects from inception through to practical completion.
- Manage projects across a range of live operational, warehousing, manufacturing and distribution environments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams to achieve programme, cost and quality objectives.
- Prepare and manage project programmes, project execution plans and reporting documentation.
- Chair project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Support procurement strategies, tender processes and contractor appointments.
- Administer NEC and JCT contracts, managing contractual obligations, change control and project risk.
- Monitor commercial performance and programme delivery, identifying risks and implementing solutions proactively.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with health & safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Contribute to client relationship management and support the continued growth of existing accounts.

Professional Skills
- Strong project leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities with a commercially minded approach.
- Strong understanding of programme management, procurement and project controls.
- Ability to build trust quickly and develop long-term client relationships.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, project risk and contractor performance.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience delivering industrial, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or similar commercial projects.
- Experience managing schemes from feasibility through to completion and handover.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts and contract administration.
- Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous.
- Degree qualified in Construction Project Management or a related construction discipline.
- MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or working towards chartership would be beneficial.
