Senior Project Manager

Reading, Berkshire, UK

Talented people are the key to our success.

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure delivers some of the UK's most complex and critical infrastructure projects, connecting people, places, and communities through responsible infrastructure delivery.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of a major long-term nuclear infrastructure programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering technically complex engineering projects within a highly regulated and security-controlled environment.

As part of a major framework encompassing multiple mechanical plant and equipment upgrades, you will lead projects through the full lifecycle, from early-stage development and design through to manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and handover.

Joining the programme during its mobilisation phase offers a unique opportunity to help shape delivery strategies, embed best practice, and contribute to a flagship project that aims to set new standards for safety, innovation, quality, and efficiency within the nuclear sector.

Reporting to the Framework Director, you will collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, project teams, and supply chain partners to ensure successful project outcomes while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the safe, successful delivery of complex engineering projects from concept through to completion.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams and supply chain partners to achieve programme objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation activities.
  • Manage NEC4 contracts and ensure commercial obligations are effectively administered.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice throughout project delivery.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Support the development and mentoring of project team members.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making across the wider framework.
  • Coordinate with technical, engineering, and operational teams to resolve complex project challenges.
  • Ensure successful stakeholder engagement within a highly regulated environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
