Role: Senior Project Manager

Location: North Devon (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £58,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to lead complex engineering programmes that support some of the UK's most advanced defence and maritime technologies?

We're partnering with an established engineering organisation that develops innovative mission-critical systems for defence and security customers. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of high-value programmes, leading projects from initial bid through to final delivery while working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering technically complex engineering programmes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You'll act as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders while providing leadership to project teams throughout the full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of complex engineering projects from bid through to completion.
  • Take ownership of programme performance, ensuring objectives are achieved across cost, quality, schedule and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress and manage project governance throughout delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams, acting as the key project interface.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate project risks while capitalising on opportunities to improve delivery.
  • Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, creating a collaborative environment focused on achieving project milestones.
  • Oversee subcontractors and external partners, ensuring contractual and technical requirements are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned and improving project delivery processes.
  • Support business growth through customer engagement and contributions to bids and proposals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
