Location: Glasgow

Contract Type: Contract (6 months initially)

Day Rate: Up to £567 per day

Hours: 40 hours per week

Security Clearance: SC Clearance required

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale and complex technology programmes.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' experience within project and delivery management, with a strong track record of managing major programmes across both application and infrastructure environments.

This is a senior delivery role requiring excellent leadership, financial management, stakeholder engagement and programme control capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of large and complex technology programmes.
  • Manage programmes with a labour value of £10m+ and delivery teams of 100+ people.
  • Oversee delivery across both application and infrastructure environments.
  • Provide strategic leadership across multiple workstreams and service lines.
  • Develop realistic project estimates, plans, budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain effective project monitoring, governance and controls.
  • Manage project finances, costs and overall commercial performance.
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Support the shaping and mobilisation of complex programmes.
  • Troubleshoot complex delivery challenges and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Lead delivery using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 15 years' experience within project and delivery management.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully running large and complex technology programmes.
  • Experience managing programmes with a £10m+ labour value.
  • Experience leading teams of 100+ people.
  • Track record of managing at least five major programmes.
  • Strong delivery experience across both applications and infrastructure.
  • Experience delivering programmes within medium to large-scale organisations.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Proven experience delivering cross-service-line programmes.
  • Excellent strategic management, project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong financial management and cost awareness.
  • Proven experience with project monitoring, project control and forecasting.
  • Demonstrable experience managing third-party suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and risk management methodologies.
  • Experience shaping deals and providing strategic leadership on complex engagements.
  • Excellent customer-facing and senior stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of complex programmes and resolve challenging delivery issues.
