Project Manager – Global Planning & Scheduling Transformation
12-Month Contract | £500 per day | Outside IR35 | Hybrid – London
We are supporting a specialist consultancy delivering a significant transformation programme for a major global organisation.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a complex Planning & Scheduling transformation, focused on changing how a global workforce is planned, allocated and deployed to customer assignments.
This is much more than a scheduling system implementation. The programme sits across process, data, technology, resource optimisation and operating model transformation, with multiple global stakeholder groups and complex business rules.
The Programme
The organisation operates a highly skilled international workforce, with resources deployed to customer assignments across multiple countries and locations.
Planning and scheduling must take account of multiple variables, including:
- Resource availability and capacity
- Skills and technical competencies
- Qualifications and certifications
- Geography and location
- Safety accreditations
- Customer and assignment requirements
- Operational constraints
- Workload and demand forecasting
The programme is looking at how this can be simplified, standardised and increasingly automated, supported by better processes, trusted data and technology.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
