The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring all commercial, operational, quality, and health and safety objectives are achieved. Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in project delivery, client relationship management, team development, and wider business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from inception through to successful completion
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Manage project risks, issues, and change control processes effectively
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
  • Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and presentations
  • Identify and manage project variations and commercial opportunities
  • Support business development activities, including preparing proposals and attending client meetings
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams and junior staff
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practice project management methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Business Management, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager or similar leadership role
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and delivery frameworks
  • Excellent commercial awareness and budget management experience
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities with a proactive approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software tools
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence (where role requirements apply)
