Senior Project Manager
Brightsmith are pleased to be retained on a new Senior Project Manager opportunity with a leading UK clean technology business operating at the forefront of the hydrogen sector.
The business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of a transformational manufacturing programme supporting the industrialisation and scale-up of its next-generation technology.
Backed by significant investment, the company is expanding its manufacturing capabilities in South Yorkshire, including the development of advanced automated production, testing and commissioning infrastructure.

The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a track record of successfully delivering complex capital projects involving manufacturing facilities, automation, industrial infrastructure, advanced engineering systems or large-scale technology deployment.
You will take ownership of key project workstreams, managing delivery strategy, budgets, schedules, risks, suppliers and stakeholders through to successful commissioning and operational handover.

Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading complex capital and manufacturing project workstreams
- Delivering factory fit-out, infrastructure upgrades and manufacturing readiness
- Overseeing procurement, installation and commissioning of advanced automated production systems
- Delivering new testing and verification facilities
- Managing project budgets, schedules, risks and reporting
- Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing and operational teams
- Managing suppliers, contractors, system integrators and technology partners
- Driving projects through installation, commissioning and operational handover
- Ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance and project control
