Senior Project Manager (Fully Remote)

Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Fully Remote)

Location: Remote – based in UK, EU or USA with easy access to an international airport

Contract Status: Full-time / Permanent Staff / 40 hours Mon-Fri

Salary: £60,000 to £95,000 starting salary (dependent on experience)

About the Role

Generis, a leader in content and information management systems, specializing in proven solutions for regulated industries is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to manage complex demanding projects that make a real difference for leading, global, blue-chip customers.

The role of the Senior Project Manager is to proactively lead and coordinate Generis, customer and partner resources to implement contracted customer projects, or major workstreams, to the specified time, cost and quality targets.

  • Plan, manage and coordinate end to end project management lifecycle with customer and external vendor partners globally
  • Leadership of projects through whole lifecycle ensuring compliance with Generis and GxP best practise methodologies, being flexible to phased deployment approaches
  • Work collaboratively with team members to plan and implement project and major workstreams (e.g. planning sessions, daily stand ups and retrospectives)
  • Manage projects from brief through project planning, creative process, development, testing through to deployment and maintenance
  • Manage scope, communication, roles, risks & project documentation;
  • Manage communication with customer stakeholders, as well as global delivery team and third party vendors
  • Utilize AGILE & Waterfall methodologies
  • Run process and change management activities as a natural complement to the project
  • Provide hands-on business analysis support to the project delivery team to create and update project and design documentation

About You

To fulfill this role, you will have the following:

  • Bachelors’ degree or similar qualification with IT/Business experience as core subjects
  • A minimum of 5-10 years practical experience gained working within a commercial organization in a project manager, business analysis or similar role
  • Experience of managing projects within life sciences or other regulated environments such as financial services or local government
  • Experience of project managing the implementation of enterprise SaaS systems, including the ability to create and manage detailed implementation schedules in Microsoft Project
  • Commercial acumen, be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of commercial business processes
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, verification and methodology development. The ability to use and manage ticket based work in Jira is highly desirable
  • Understanding of web tech and back-end tech and to work effectively and cooperatively with development teams
  • Experience overseeing the design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems or products
  • Experience of computer system validation/GxP validated environments for regulated life sciences projects
  • Strong track record of contributing to projects and achieving results
  • A “customer facing”, service-oriented approach to enable a successful partnership and strong relationships
  • Proven experience remotely managing globally dispersed teams to successfully deliver projects and/or major workstreams

Good-to-haves:

  • Project Management accreditations, such as PRINCE
  • In addition to fluent English, candidates also fluent in German, French, Spanish and/or Japanese
  • Prior experience with Documentum, Veeva, Ennov or other content management systems
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as required. Travel is expected to be less than 4 weeks annually.
