Senior Project Manager
Derbyshire
£65,000 - £75,000 (DOE) + 10% annual bonus + 25 days holiday
The Company
Our client is a global product and engineering solutions provider servicing clients in the nuclear power, petrochemical, defence and aerospace industries. With £20million UK turnover, the business is well established as a leader in their field.
With projects averaging £1-2million and their bespoke solutions offering, this business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products over their 60+ year history. They are well equipped to provide a complete service offering including design, manufacture, and installation.
They are now looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager with immediate effect.
The Role
The role of Senior Project Manager will involve the full oversight of projects, from initial customer handover to project close-out. Managing one project at a time while assisting on others, you will be the dedicated lead on engineering projects lasting anywhere from 3 months to 2 years. Your success will be measured on your ability to deliver projects on time and to budget, whilst ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and effective risk management. - Managing all aspects of the project, ensuring they comply to customer contracts
- Control contract variations and manage milestones and invoicing
- Be involved in customer handover, project briefings, scoping and planning
- Overseeing design and engineering through to manufacture and fabrication
- Ensuring on time delivery for installation, commissioning, and project close out
- Reviewing completed projects for lessons learned and potential improvements

The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Senior Project Manager role you will need:
- Demonstratable experience in managing engineering projects
- Previous experience managing delivery against customer contracts
- Strong communication skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to navigate complex documentation
- An aptitude for leadership and problem solving
The Benefits
For this Senior Project Manager role the following benefits are on offer:
- £65,000 - £75,000 base salary, dependent on experience
- 10% annual bonus
- 8.30-5pm Monday to Thursday with options for early Friday finish
- 6% pension
