Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: London, UK

Reports To: Project Director

Mission

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering allocated construction projects efficiently and safely, meeting scope, programme, and budget requirements while ensuring 100% customer satisfaction upon completion. This role is part of the DCS Delivery Team, managing a group of internal and external Project Managers delivering new-build data centre projects in West London. The DCS Delivery function oversees construction and infrastructure programmes across Colt DCS’s pan-European and APAC estate and is committed to being the centre of excellence for data centre project delivery—providing expertise with a punctual, creative, and solutions-driven approach.

  • Proven experience delivering construction projects, ideally within the data centre or major infrastructure sectors (Energy, Nuclear, Industrial Manufacturing, Airports etc).
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety best practice.
  • Solid understanding of CSA, Mechanical and Electrical systems.
  • Experience delivering projects under Design & Build contract strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the technical, procedural, contractual, and commercial aspects of project delivery.
  • Capable of managing scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk to meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply structured governance and project controls from initiation to handover and closure.
  • Ability to create and execute a clear end-to-end delivery strategy.
  • Strong skills in financial management, programme management, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to produce accurate reports, programmes, and cost forecasts.
  • Highly organised and methodical, with strong coordination skills to optimise resources and exceed customer expectations.
  • Experience managing projects with complex engineering services installations.
  • Experience delivering projects in live operational infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge of supply-chain procurement and contract negotiation.
  • Experience leading local and remote, multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Experience managing customer interactions and fit-out activities.
  • Strong IT literacy: Microsoft Excel, Project, Word.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Academic qualifications in a relevant construction or engineering discipline.
  • Professional certification preferred (e.g., Chartered Engineer, construction-related accreditation).
  • Additional European languages beneficial but not required.
