Job Description
Are you an experienced project manager who thrives on turning strategy into action? We're looking for a Project Manager to join our People Team and play a key role in delivering high-impact people initiatives that support Sage's people strategy and business goals.
As a trusted delivery partner, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of People projects and programmes, working with Centres of Excellence, Strategic People Business Partners, People Operations, Digital Services and business stakeholders. You'll bring structure, governance and delivery excellence to a diverse portfolio of change initiatives, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence how strategic people initiatives are delivered across Sage while helping to strengthen project management capability and delivery maturity across the wider People Function.
Overview of the Team
The Project Delivery Team is the delivery engine of the People Function, responsible for turning strategy into execution.
Working across the full People landscape, the team partners with Centres of Excellence, Strategic People Business Partners, People Operations, Digital Services and business stakeholders to lead the implementation of strategic programmes, operational improvements and transformation initiatives.

The team brings dedicated project delivery expertise, providing the structure, consistency and governance needed to successfully embed change and deliver measurable business outcomes across Sage.
Office Location
Hybrid Working - 3 days per week in our Newcastle office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be a collaborative and highly organised project professional who can manage multiple priorities while building strong stakeholder relationships across a complex organisation.
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of People projects and programmes.
- Creating project plans, milestones, governance structures and delivery approaches.
- Coordinating activities across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.
- Managing project risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans.
- Providing clear and insightful project reporting to stakeholders and governance forums.
- Supporting change implementation, business readiness and operational adoption.
- Ensuring lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities are captured.
- Championing project management best practice, standards and methodologies across the People Function.
Experience you'll bring
- Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale projects and programmes.
- Strong project management expertise across planning, governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working across multiple teams, functions and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Experience producing governance materials, reports and project updates.
- Experience within HR, People, Transformation or Shared Services environments.
- Experience delivering organisational, process, technology or operating model change.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and/or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience working within PMO governance frameworks.
- Professional project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM, MSP or equivalent.
