A unique opportunity for a Senior Project Manager
Take ownership of a major buildings package on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes.
Joining at ECI / PCSA stage means you will have the opportunity to shape the buildings package, rather than simply inherit it. You will have genuine influence over design, procurement, sequencing, and the delivery strategy.
The buildings package will encompass:
- Maintenance Building
- Control Centre
- Welfare and office facility
- Various other ancillary buildings
The overall project is estimated at £800M. Construction is planned to complete in 2031.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to drive performance across multiple contractors and technical disciplines.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the safe, timely, and commercially successful delivery of the buildings package
- Managing design development, construction, commissioning, and handover
- Coordinating interfaces across civils, structures, building services, rail systems, and operational teams
- Managing programme, cost, risk, change, and package performance
- Leading contractors, consultants, and internal project teams
- Maintaining strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders
- Driving quality, buildability, and technical assurance throughout delivery
- Identifying issues early and implementing practical solutions

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
