Life on the team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join Computacenter's rapidly growing Smart Infrastructure team, delivering some of the most innovative AI Data Centre projects across the globe.
This role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of large-scale, business-critical data centre and digital infrastructure programmes for enterprise and hyperscale customers. You will be responsible for managing complex projects from inception through to completion, working closely with customers, internal delivery teams and third-party partners to ensure successful outcomes.
As part of a high-growth team, you will gain exposure to cutting-edge AI infrastructure projects, international delivery environments and major customer investments. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced project professional who thrives in complex environments and is excited by the prospect of delivering projects on a global scale.
Due to the nature of the role, significant international travel will be required. Project locations are global, and assignments may involve extended periods working on-site with customers and delivery teams.
What you'll do
- Lead the successful delivery of large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects to agreed time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Provide leadership and governance across the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery excellence and adherence to agreed methodologies and controls.
- Manage complex project budgets, commercial responsibilities and contractual obligations.
- Lead matrix teams comprising technical specialists, third-party partners, subcontractors and customer stakeholders.
- Ensure effective project planning, risk management, change control and resource management throughout delivery.
- Produce accurate and timely project reporting for customers and senior leadership.
- Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.
- Support bid and pre-sales activities by providing delivery expertise, project estimates and implementation recommendations.
- Identify and manage opportunities for scope growth, variation orders and revenue optimisation.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Computacenter and customer governance standards, quality frameworks and statutory obligations.
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement and delivery best practice across the business.
- Promote and maintain compliance with all Health & Safety requirements across project activities.
- Professionally represent Computacenter at all times, protecting the company's reputation and customer relationships.

What you'll need
- Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, data centre, network transformation or technology programmes.
- Extensive project management experience gained within enterprise technology, data centre, construction-related technology or critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong commercial awareness, including ownership of project financial performance, forecasting and contractual delivery.
- Demonstrable experience managing project governance, risk, change control and reporting at programme or portfolio level.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed and matrix-managed delivery teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage at all organisational levels.
- Strong customer-facing presence with the credibility to operate within complex enterprise environments.
- Prince2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent project management qualification.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel extensively both within the UK and internationally, including periods of extended customer site presence where required.

- Experience delivering data centre infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of AI infrastructure environments and associated technologies.
- Structured cabling, physical infrastructure or engineering delivery experience.
- Experience working within international delivery environments and global customer programmes.
