Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Banking Technology & Change
Location: Hybrid Birmingham (3 days a week onsite)
Duration: 6 months rolling contract
500GBP/day Inside IR35
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading banking client in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technology, data, and change initiatives end-to-end, working closely with Technology, Finance, Risk, and Business stakeholders.
You will own the project plan, coordinate multiple teams, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects end-to-end, including planning, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate day-to-day delivery across Technology, Finance, Risk, and Business teams.
- Manage project plans and ensure key deliverables are completed on time.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, and release readiness activities.
- Establish and maintain strong project governance and reporting.
- Manage RAID logs covering Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring actions are followed through to completion.
- Manage scope, change requests, and delivery impacts.
- Organise project meetings, workshops, planning sessions, and delivery ceremonies where required.
- Provide clear and concise project updates to senior stakeholders and steering committees.
- Track project progress, actions, decisions, and key deliverables.
- Ensure project documentation and delivery artefacts are maintained to the required standards.
- Work across multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and outcomes.

Required Experience & Skills
- 10–12+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Proven experience delivering technology, data, or business change projects.
- Strong experience working with both Technology and Business stakeholders.
- Experience working with Finance and/or Risk teams within a banking environment.
- Strong project planning, delivery, and dependency management skills.
- Hands-on experience managing RAID, risks, issues, actions, and project governance.
- Experience coordinating SIT, UAT, and release/go-live activities.
- Strong senior stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
- Comfortable coordinating multiple teams, workstreams, and stakeholders across different areas or markets.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and organisational skills.
