A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join our Siemens Rail Infrastructure, Communication Information Systems business and based in Ashby De-La-Zouch with potential travel overseas to Saudi Arabia, Germany or France.

In our Communication and Information Systems (CIS) business, you’ll help to deliver Rail Infrastructure systems for customers across the UK and internationally. Our portfolio includes the provision of event driven control and monitoring solutions tailored for Centralised SCADA & Line-wide systems, Stations & Utilities, Power SCADA, Control Systems, Tunnel Ventilation, M&E and many more. Within this role, your skills and experience may be utilised across any of our CIS projects depending on business needs and requirements.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the safe, timely and high-quality delivery of the Riyadh Metro Line 2 Extension F-SCADA scope.

This is a strategically important international Rail Infrastructure project requiring you to lead through mobilisation, design, configuration, integration, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring that Siemens delivers to the correct level of safety, quality, programme and commercial performance.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of the Riyadh Metro Line 2 Extension F-SCADA project, ensuring successful execution from mobilisation through to final handover
  • Taking full accountability for project scope, programme, cost, quality, risk and customer-facing delivery activities
  • Building, leading and developing a high-performing multidisciplinary project team across engineering, software, testing, commissioning, commercial and project controls functions
  • Establishing a robust project governance, ensuring delivery complies with Siemens processes, standards, values and project management requirements
  • Driving excellence in health, safety, quality, cyber security and regulatory compliance, acting as a visible safety leader throughout the project lifecycle
  • Overseeing F-SCADA systems integration activities, including requirements management, configuration control, interface coordination, software delivery, testing and commissioning readiness
  • Managing complex stakeholder interfaces across customers, suppliers, contractors and international Siemens teams in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Germany and France
  • Controlling project performance through effective forecasting, cost management, risk mitigation, change control and delivery of agreed financial objectives
  • Leading contractual and commercial activities, including variations, claims management, governance compliance, reporting and customer communications

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Proven experience delivering complex rail, infrastructure, SCADA, operational technology, industrial automation or software-based projects
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams through the full project lifecycle, including design, software/configuration delivery, integration, testing, commissioning and handover
  • Strong customer-facing project leadership experience, with the ability to operate effectively in a complex international delivery environment
  • Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors and multiple technical interfaces
  • Strong understanding of project controls, planning, risk management, financial control, commercial management and governance
  • Ability to manage in an environment of changing requirements, developing interfaces and evolving technical baselines
  • Experience delivering SCADA, F-SCADA, control systems, software integration or railway systems projects (desirable)
  • Experience of international project delivery, ideally including the Middle East (desirable)
