Role Overview

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager with on-site experience to act as Senior Project Manager for a significant project within the Data Centre sector. The role would suit an experienced individual who enjoys being on site and managing the client, design teams, and contractors. The works over the coming years are mainly around the development of several phases of buildings for a Data Centre campus. You will also be the Contract Administrator.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join and strengthen our Project Management team and Data Centre capability.

Role Responsibilities

  • To be part of a wider team enabling successful delivery of this Data Centre campus (in conjunction with the support from the Project Director and Management partners) with a view to securing repeat business.
  • Contract Administration (which requires a good understanding of building contracts) and change management.
  • Undertake commercial management with support from the Cost Management team.
  • Oversee risk management process.
  • Undertake monthly reporting to the Client.
  • Managing the client, design teams, and contractors.
  • Team management duties likely taking on day-to-day management of 1-2 RLB staff.
  • To assist the Project Management Partners in developing a pipeline of Data Centre opportunities and Clients.
  • To support in the development of fee proposals and responses to RFPs.
  • To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
  • To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
  • Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies.
  • Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality Standards.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

Experience

  • Experienced Senior Project Manager with on-site experience.
  • Data Centre / Mission Critical sector experience is essential.
  • Data Centre MEP, Data Centre Fit Out experience preferred.
  • Experienced in overseeing testing and commissioning activities for data centres.
  • Strong leadership skills and team management experience.
  • Used to managing clients, design teams, and contractors.
  • Contract administration / Employers Agent experience required.
  • Managing Data Centre projects across the design, tender, and construction stages.

Qualifications

  • Chartership - Professional (chartered) qualification (MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM ChPP).
  • Construction-related degree or a similar construction-related qualification with wide-ranging technical delivery experience in a similar role gained within a consultancy.
