Computacenter’s Group Professional Services (GPS) brings together Engineering, Consultancy, and Project Management expertise to deliver innovative solutions for global brands. With over 4,200 professionals across three continents, we drive digital transformation in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.

As a Data Centre Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead complex, high-risk projects or major workstreams within larger programmes. You’ll ensure successful delivery from planning through to completion, managing scope, budget, and timelines while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will also have proven experience of working with virtualisation technologies inc. VMware.

What you’ll do

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of infrastructure and cloud platform projects (initiation through to closure)
  • Deliver end-to-end complex projects or lead a medium size portfolio
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and cloud teams to ensure alignment on design and delivery
  • Build and manage project teams
  • Control risks, issues, dependencies, and change
  • Support solution design and sales cycles
  • Maintain positive stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure projects meet financial and quality targets

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure and cloud platform projects
  • Hands-on experience managing VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) upgrades or similar virtualised environments
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data centre technologies and hybrid cloud architecture
  • Project management accreditation (Prince2, Agile)
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Familiarity with latest technologies and ability to explain benefits, including VMware stack: vSphere, ESXi, vSAN, NSX
  • Strong financial and contractual management skills
  • SC clearance or the ability to gain relevant clearances
