Senior Project Manager – Delivery Assurance & Transformation

Strategic Transformation Programmes

Location: London

Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a high-profile strategic transformation function within a leading Financial Services organisation.

This is a unique opportunity for a senior Project Manager, Programme Manager Delivery Lead, or Assurance professional to move beyond programme delivery and focus on what makes large-scale transformation succeed or fail. Working alongside senior assurance leaders, you will conduct deep-dive reviews of critical programmes, identify root causes of delivery challenges, and help shape improvements that strengthen future delivery performance. The role focuses on independent programme assurance, recovery, governance, and delivery excellence across complex business, technology, and data transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth delivery assurance reviews across complex transformation programmes.
  • Assess programme health, delivery risks, governance effectiveness, planning quality, and execution capability.
  • Identify root causes of delivery issues and provide evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
  • Support programme recovery and remediation activities on challenged initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to challenge assumptions, validate delivery approaches, and improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of delivery assurance frameworks, review methodologies, and best practice standards.
  • Track follow-up actions and ensure recommendations are implemented effectively.
  • Help identify recurring themes across programmes and drive wider delivery improvement initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
