Copello have partnered with an established defence practice who are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex engineering and business projects within a technically challenging environment.
You’ll take ownership of projects from definition through to delivery, working across engineering, commercial, technical and business teams to deliver on time, on budget and to the required quality.
The role also offers exposure to bids, tenders and new business, making it ideal for a Project Manager who enjoys both delivery and shaping future opportunities.
What you'll be doing
- Lead complex engineering and business projects from initiation through to delivery
- Own project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, risks and opportunities
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, technical and commercial teams
- Manage customers, suppliers and senior internal stakeholders
- Provide clear project reporting and drive actions to resolve issues
- Support bids and tenders through estimating, planning and delivery strategy
- Translate customer requirements into achievable project plans
- Manage changing priorities, requirements and dependencies
- Improve project delivery processes and project management practices
- Support and mentor less experienced project managers where appropriate

What we're looking for
We’re open to Project Managers from a range of backgrounds, particularly those with experience in:
- Complex engineering, technical or product development projects
- Defence, aerospace, manufacturing or other regulated industries
- Multidisciplinary project delivery
- Bid management, tendering, estimating or new business
- Managing budgets, schedules, resources, risks and opportunities
- Customer-facing delivery and senior stakeholder management
- Formal project governance and delivery frameworks
