Overview

As a Senior Project Manager within our Energy Portfolio team, you will support the operational and commercial management of a complex and growing portfolio of energy contracts across the EMEA region. You will take ownership of key financial, contractual, and analytical workstreams, helping ensure energy agreements are managed accurately, efficiently, and in line with contractual requirements. The role will involve close collaboration with utilities, energy suppliers, and multidisciplinary internal teams across finance, commercial, legal, and project delivery functions.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and play an important role in shaping processes, improving operational performance, and supporting the continued development of the wider function.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the operational management of a portfolio of energy contracts across multiple EMEA markets.
  • Oversee the monthly validation of complex utility bills, Power Purchase Agreement invoices, and Energy Service Agreement invoices.
  • Identify, investigate, and independently resolve billing discrepancies, invoice disputes, and commercial queries with utilities and external partners.
  • Review and improve invoice-validation processes, including the use of automation to increase accuracy and reduce processing times.
  • Monitor key contractual milestones, including Conditions Precedent, Commercial Operation Dates, contract expiry dates, and other critical obligations.
  • Maintain accurate energy portfolio trackers and ensure the quality, completeness, and integrity of portfolio data.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements and the tracking of environmental attributes.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor operational KPIs, financial performance, contractual obligations, and portfolio risks.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial and quantitative analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Identify risks, trends, and opportunities across the portfolio and develop clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate across finance, legal, procurement, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure actions are completed effectively.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
