Senior Project Manager – Facilities Management
Hybrid working based Hertfordshire
Our client, a highly reputable building & property consultancy, is growing and needs a Project Manager with facilities management or property expertise to manage a varied client portfolio across London and the South. This is an opportunity to take ownership of Hard FM and Soft FM projects within public sector, shaping strategy, driving delivery and ensuring value for money.
Projects normally include complex or high-profile Facilities Management (FM) projects involving the procurement of Hard FM and Soft FM contracts, service reviews, mobilisation planning and other similar consultancy support. The role will also include ad hoc property and facilities management projects such as PFI hand back, service transformation, projects and the coordination and delivery of Fire Safety, Water Hygiene and Asbestos Risk Assessment programmes.

This role suits someone credible with senior stakeholders, highly organised, practical, and confident managing multiple workstreams in a public-sector environment.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Client relationship management — attending progress meetings, tracking milestones, resolving risks and issues.
- Project governance — maintaining PID, plans, dashboards and all required documentation.
- Procurement coordination — drafting tender packs, specifications, pricing documents, evaluation materials and mobilisation plans.
- Workstream oversight — managing multiple FM, property and procurement workstreams, priorities and dependencies.
- Budget and performance control — monitoring spend, forecasting, and ensuring delivery to KPIs.
- Contract and project delivery — ensuring value for money, compliance and on-time, on-budget execution.
- Tender evaluation — assessing submissions in line with agreed methodologies.
- Team leadership — directing project teams, supervising workloads and supporting staff development.
- Stakeholder engagement — leading client meetings, tracking actions and maintaining clear communication.
- Risk management — identifying, monitoring and escalating financial, operational and reputational risks.
- Regulatory compliance — ensuring all procurement activity meets current regulations.

What you’ll bring
- Experience in FM, property, maintenance or operational service contracts
- Strong knowledge of public procurement and end-to-end processes
- Confidence leading meetings with Directors and Heads of Service
- Programme management experience
