Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage the day-to-day delivery of Strata’s government-focused accounts. This is a senior project delivery role within the account team, supporting the Project Director and Account Director while leading the practical planning and delivery of complex events.

The role will suit a highly organised, compliance-minded, and commercially aware project leader with government event experience. You will help build new accounts from the ground up, supporting client onboarding, creating project processes, shaping documentation, and embedding strong ways of working.

Projects are likely to include government summits, international exhibitions, stakeholder events, virtual events, and hybrid programmes requiring robust project management, careful supplier coordination, and confident client communication.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of allocated government projects from brief, onboarding, and planning through to live delivery, reconciliation, and closure.
  • Translate client objectives into clear project plans, timelines, and key deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project handbooks, client kick-off materials, project folders, status reports, contact reports, and onsite schedules.
  • Ensure delivery remains on time, on budget, compliant, and aligned to agreed client ways of working.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main day-to-day delivery contact for allocated projects, ensuring client questions and requests are acknowledged and managed in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Support the Project Director and Account Director with client onboarding, stakeholder maps, reporting cadence, and account process playbooks.
  • Lead client meetings, manage agendas, capture actions, and ensure clear follow-up within agreed timeframes.
  • Build trusted relationships with government stakeholders through proactive communication, accuracy, transparency, and calm issue resolution.

Compliance, Risk & Quality Control

  • Maintain project risk registers, contingency plans, and compliance trackers, escalating risks and decisions quickly and appropriately.
  • Coordinate production of RAMS/Event Safety Plans, accessibility considerations, sustainability actions, and supplier compliance documentation.
  • Apply Strata’s quality assurance and sign-off processes, ensuring all client deliverables meet company standards, client brand guidelines, and approved scope.
  • Support post-event reporting, lessons learned, and performance reviews, including value-for-money evidence and success measurement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
