Senior Project Manager – Public Sector / Digital Transformation
INSIDE IR35 | £450 - £500 per day | Remote | BPSS | Start: October
Contract details:
- Rate: £550 per day INSIDE IR35
- Clearance: BPSS
- Location: Remote – no required travel, although occasional meetings may be suggested in various UK cities but this is infrequent
- Start: 1 October, potentially earlier
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale digital transformation programme within UK Government.
This is a senior role operating across multiple interconnected products and services, working with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders to shape strategic direction while ensuring complex programmes remain aligned and deliverable.

What you’ll be doing:
- Leading complex discovery and helping translate strategic objectives into clear, deliverable outcomes
- Developing and maintaining roadmaps, priorities and measurable outcomes across interconnected products
- Managing complex dependencies, risks, assumptions and constraints across multiple workstreams
- Facilitating workshops and strategic discussions with senior stakeholders
- Working closely with Product, Architecture, Service Design and Delivery teams
- Supporting planning across Discovery, Alpha and Beta phases
- Influencing decisions through complex governance structures and senior forums
- Supporting business cases, funding requests and delivery planning

What we’re looking for:
- UK Central Government experience is required for this role.
- Strong Senior Project Management experience within complex digital/technology programmes
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery and multidisciplinary digital teams
- Experience managing dependencies across multiple products, services or programmes
- Excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Comfortable working across strategic planning, discovery and delivery
