About The Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead significant infrastructure projects in the Sheffield region. This role is critical for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects related to facilities, utilities, or technology infrastructure upgrades. You will work closely with engineering teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure initiatives, contributing to the company's strategic growth and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of large-scale infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee procurement processes, contract management, and relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on project sites.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring accountability for project success.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a specialization in infrastructure development or management.
  • Proven success in delivering complex projects involving construction, engineering, or large-scale IT infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools relevant to infrastructure projects.
  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
