Senior Project Manager

About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll work under the guidance of either:
- The Head of Projects (for standalone projects)
- The Programme Manager (for programme/workstream delivery)
You’ll direct the delivery and project management for large-scale projects or multiple projects, reporting to the Programme Manager. Your base will be at our Springfields site.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the team to execute projects/interrelated projects from initiation to final closure.
- Develop, monitor, and report on project schedules, milestones, and activities.
- Adhere to and cascade organisational project management processes and governance arrangements.
- Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) systems are robust, providing assurance around compliance and reporting.
- Conduct regular status review meetings for projects under your responsibility.
- Manage all reporting obligations—internal, external, and governance reviews.
- Escalate issues, risks, and major concerns to the Head of Projects or Programme Manager as needed.
- Control project requirements, scope, and change management, including approving contract variations and identifying early warnings.
- Foster learning and continuous improvement by embedding best practices with the PMO Team.
- Collaborate with Customer Account Managers to:
- Identify, develop, and maintain a client work pipeline.
- Build and sustain relationships with client, partner, and supply chain organisations.
- Define delivery strategies during requests for proposals (RFQ) and invitation to tender (ITT) stages for new opportunities.

Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years (or more) of applicable project management experience.
- Strong leadership skills to head complex team structures.
- Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships at senior executive/client levels.
- Problem-solving expertise: analyse issues, establish facts, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to drive change and improve working practices.
- Budgeting and resource allocation knowledge and experience.
