Senior Project Manager – Digital Products
Manchester
Hybrid – Tuesday & Thursday in the office
Up to £70,000
Our client is an established digital product and technology business, delivering complex digital experiences, software products and mobile solutions for a diverse portfolio of major clients. They are looking for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of some of their largest and most complex digital projects, working across multidisciplinary teams of developers, designers, product specialists, strategists, and Solution Architects.
This is a client-facing delivery role where you'll have genuine ownership from initial scoping and estimation through to delivery. You'll manage significant project budgets, work closely with senior stakeholders, and make sure technically complex projects are delivered commercially and successfully.
Client would particularly be interested in people who have come from a digital agency, consultancy, or software product environment and have experience delivering web and/or mobile projects.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end delivery of complex digital projects, from discovery, scoping, and estimation through to launch and completion.
- Lead web, mobile, and software projects across multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Manage projects with £1m+ budgets, taking responsibility for financial performance, burn rates, forecasts, and invoicing.
- Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and become a trusted point of contact throughout delivery.
- Work alongside developers, designers, Product Managers, Solution Architects, and strategists to translate client objectives into achievable delivery plans.
- Engage with technical teams and understand architecture, integrations, and technical constraints well enough to challenge assumptions and identify delivery risks.
- Own project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, resolving problems before they impact delivery.
- Lead scope changes and ensure commercial and delivery implications are understood and agreed.
- Work closely with resourcing teams to ensure projects have the right people, skills, and capacity at the right time.
- Manage delivery using Agile methodologies, adapting your approach depending on the client, project, and delivery environment.
- Ensure projects remain commercially controlled, with accurate reporting against Statements of Work.
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery, processes, and ways of working.

What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' Project Management experience within digital, software, product, agency, or consultancy environments.
- Proven experience delivering web and/or mobile projects – essential.
- A track record of managing £1m+ projects or programmes, including responsibility for budgets and financial performance.
- Experience delivering complex software products, digital platforms, and/or system integrations.
- Experience working within a digital agency or consultancy is highly desirable.
- Strong experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders, including managing expectations, scope, and challenging conversations.
- Comfortable working closely with technical teams and participating in discussions around architecture, integrations, and software delivery.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery and modern software development lifecycles.
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, forecasting, burn rates, invoicing, and Statements of Work.
- Strong understanding of project resourcing, risks, dependencies, and change management.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Certinia would be beneficial.
- Highly organized, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Someone who enjoys digital product delivery and client-facing project management, rather than traditional IT infrastructure or internal IT transformation.
