Job Opportunity: Senior Project Manager
Socode are partnering with a Cambridge-based technology company developing advanced industrial systems used in high-performance manufacturing environments. As their programmes continue to expand, they're looking to bring in a Senior Project Manager to drive delivery across a range of complex product and operational initiatives.
This is a delivery-focused role sitting at the centre of engineering, operations and supply chain. You'll be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, keeping programmes on track, and ensuring new products transition smoothly into manufacture.
What will you be doing?
- Owning delivery of new product programmes from early development through to production release
- Coordinating engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and quality teams to maintain alignment and momentum
- Building and managing project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring key milestones are met
- Applying structured delivery frameworks to keep projects controlled and predictable
- Identifying potential risks early and putting plans in place to mitigate them
- Acting as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear and regular updates
- Supporting the move from development into production, including readiness and ramp-up activities
- Contributing to improvements in how projects are run, helping strengthen overall delivery capability

What are they looking for?
- Experience delivering technically complex projects within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of the full product lifecycle, from development through to production
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and keep multiple workstreams aligned
- Comfortable managing deadlines, budgets and competing priorities
- Clear and confident communication style, able to engage both technical teams and senior stakeholders
- Structured and organised approach, with a focus on planning and execution
- Degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline

Nice to have
- Experience working with precision engineering systems
- Exposure to production scale-up, manufacturing transfer or global supply chains
- Familiarity with gated development processes or formal delivery frameworks
- Background in industries with high reliability or quality requirements
