The Position: Senior Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of the Main Control Room programme at Hinkley Point C.
This is a highly visible role requiring a strong delivery-focused leader who can build trusted relationships with stakeholders, drive project performance, and provide effective onsite leadership within a complex engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting one of the most important infrastructure programmes currently under construction in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary UK-based interface between the project team and key customer stakeholders.
- Drive delivery performance across engineering, manufacturing, installation, and completion activities.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and establish strong working relationships at all levels.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones and objectives are achieved.
- Manage project risks, issues, actions, and recovery plans.
- Support contract administration activities within an NEC3 framework.
- Monitor project progress and implement robust reporting and governance practices.
- Capture and implement lessons learned to support future programme phases.

Preferred Profile
- Proven Project Management experience within Nuclear, Energy, Infrastructure, Defence, Rail, or other major project environments.
- Strong customer and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience delivering complex engineering, construction, or industrial programmes.
- Working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, including change management processes.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
- Ability to identify delivery risks and drive successful outcomes.
- Reside locally to Somerset/South West UK or be willing to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.
