About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager within Design & Construction to lead the planning, management and delivery of major enabling, infrastructure, design and construction activities associated with the redevelopment of Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn and the James Paget Hospital Great Yarmouth as part of the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group New Hospital Programme.
The New Hospital Programme represents a transformational investment in healthcare infrastructure across Norfolk and Waveney, delivering new hospital facilities that will support the future delivery of safe, sustainable and modern healthcare services. Whilst this role will primarily support one site scheme, the postholder will work as part of the wider programme team, contributing to the successful delivery of programme objectives and supporting the development of consistent approaches, standards and ways of working across the wider programme.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex construction and pre-construction workstreams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved scope, budget, quality and programme requirements.
- Work closely with consultants, contractors, clinical and operational stakeholders, Estates and Facilities teams and New Hospital Programme partners, supporting the successful progression of projects from concept and design through construction, commissioning and handover.
- Provide direct line management responsibility for an Assistant Project Manager and lead multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors across assigned projects and workstreams.
- Provide professional guidance, oversight and support to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed objectives and programme requirements.
Requirements
- Apply specialist knowledge of project delivery, construction management, commercial processes, risk management and governance arrangements.
- Exercise significant professional judgement and autonomy when managing complex projects, resolving issues and making recommendations that support delivery of the programme.
