Role Overview

To lead the successful delivery of Cambridge WRC Upgrade project.

Responsibilities

  • Project Scope: Develop the outline design, secure funding, support stakeholder engagement, and manage the upgrade for the Water Recycling Centre, including Project Management of associated consultants and contractors. Obligations for improvement and completion by the end of the current AMP8 investment period and beyond.
  • Reporting: Report to the Programme Director.
  • Leadership: Manage change and ensure delivery safely on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Management: Manage multi-disciplinary teams, key stakeholders and interfaces, and manage a D&B NEC Contractor.
  • Infrastructure Delivery: Strong understanding of infrastructure delivery within a regulated water business.
  • Team Culture: Operate within a high-performing team with a strong culture for doing the right thing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Management: Manage a team of incumbent designers across the AWS stage gated process to deliver the outline design.
  • ECI Phase Management: Manage and deliver the successful ECI phase with the new Major Project Framework EPC Contractor.
  • Cost and Budget: Link into Cambridge Upgrades reporting processes.
  • Agile Environment: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, agile delivery environment with a good understanding of governance.

Required Qualifications

  • Project Management: Project management qualification.
  • NEC ECC: NEC ECC Project Manager Accreditation (preferred).
  • Health, Safety, and Wellbeing: Health, safety, and wellbeing-related qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH desirable).
  • Ownership: Takes ownership of project management and delivery.
  • Safety: Places safety at the heart of delivery.
  • NEC and CDM: NEC and CDM familiarity.
  • Experience: Experience of delivery in the wastewater environment (preferred). Experience managing ECP contracts in a regulated, infrastructure environment.
  • Team Approach: One team approach.
