The Project Management Department at Worldwide

At Worldwide Clinical Trials, Project Management blends operational excellence with therapeutic expertise for a client-focused experience.

  • Global Project Leads (GPLs) and Clinical Project Managers (CPMs) steer teams to deliver high-quality results
  • Involved in every aspect of clinical trials, liaising with scientific leaders, coordinating across teams, and providing tailored, innovative solutions

About the Role: Senior Project Manager (SPM)

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Project Manager (SPM), you will:

  • Oversee end-to-end coordination of clinical trials from startup to closeout.

  • Manage technical, financial, and operational aspects, ensuring successful trial execution.

  • Partner with functional leaders (clinical, scientific, regional/market teams) to:

    • Identify and resolve complex project challenges
    • Interpret data and make critical business decisions
    • Align solutions with governance and compliance
  • With support from Project Management Directors, ensure all deliverables meet customer/contract expectations across:

    • Time-frame
    • Quality outcomes
    • Budget adherence
  • Report directly to GPLs or Resource Lead Project Managers (RLPMs) in focus areas and collaborate with delegated leads within other functional teams.


What You’ll Bring to the Role

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven responsibility & accountability in decision-making

  • Sharp communication & adaptability under pressure (Demand-based environment*)

  • Deep project management expertise:

    • Ability to create & manage budgets effectively
    • Track, allocate, and control financial resources
    • Offer ownership of deliverables from project kickoff to conclusion
  • Leadership of multidisciplinary teams: Ability to:

    • Oversee virtual/remote teams (with effective engagement)
    • Adjust to diverse in-country operations and collaboration dynamics

  • Industry & therapeutic background (primary focus required):
    • 6–7 years total industry experience, with at least 5 years in Clinical Project Management
    • Mandatory: Oncology specialty experience in PM
  • Education preference: Degree in a Life Science-related field (medicine, biology, pharmacology, nursing)

Operational Requirements

  • Travel flexibility – Approximate 10–15% travel requirement
