Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager on a 6 month rolling contract based in London.

Role Summary
A substation construction project in its construction phase is looking for a contract Senior Project Manager. The works are at transmission voltage and delivered under an NEC contract, and the role is site based four to five days per week.
The client is looking for a good all rounder — someone who has delivered substation builds end to end rather than a narrow specialist in one discipline.
Responsibilities
- Day to day management of construction delivery on site, holding the programme and reporting against it
- Managing subcontractors and site teams across the package, including civils, M&E and installation scopes
- Running the NEC contract administration — early warnings, compensation events, programme submissions
- Chairing progress and coordination meetings with the client and stakeholders
- Commercial and cost reporting, forecasting and change control
- Health, safety and quality compliance on site, including CDM duties
- Coordinating design, procurement and installation sequencing against the construction programme

Requirements
- Proven delivery of substation construction projects as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager
- Experience at transmission or EHV level
- NEC3 or NEC4 contract experience, hands on rather than overseen
- Strong across the full construction scope — civils and groundworks as well as electrical installation
- Programme ownership in P6 or Asta
- SMSTS and CSCS
- Able to commit to four to five days a week on site
- Gas insulated switchgear experience
- Main contractor or EPC background on substation delivery
- EUSR SHEA Power
- Chartered status or professional membership
- CDM 2015 Principal Contractor or Principal Designer experience
