Senior Project Manager (part-time, 4 days per week)

Compensation: £45,000 - £50,000 / year


Description

The Future Laboratory are seeking an experienced, highly organized and proactive Senior Project Manager to coordinate multiple strategic foresight projects, throughout their entire lifecycle, from proposal to delivery. This role involves managing resources effectively and ensuring seamless delivery to clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management in a fast-paced agency environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders at once, with a strong ability to allocate resources efficiently and drive projects to completion.

Please note, this role is offered on a six-month fixed-term contract and is part-time at four days per week. The salary stated is the full-time equivalent (FTE).


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage delivery of high-quality projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and foresight methodologies
  • Define project objectives, key deliverables and timelines with stakeholders
  • Ensure projects meet time, budget, and profitability goals and track key performance metrics
  • Proactively manage multiple clients and projects, providing regular updates, pre-empting potential issues, and maintaining clear communication channels
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring flexibility in project execution whilst ensuring highest quality of work has been maintained
  • Assess project resource needs, monitoring team capacity and effectively manage potential project delays
  • Supporting in the allocation and scheduling of internal and external resources
  • Oversee timesheet tracking for your projects ensuring all time is logged correctly to support reporting and resource planning
  • Support new business and proposal development during period of high opportunity volume, including helping with cost estimates, timelines and project planning
  • Build good working relationships with internal teams and develop a positive rapport with key client personnel on project-related matters
  • Hire freelance resource when necessary, negotiating costs and contract agreements
  • Onboard and offboard freelancers on relevant business systems, including inductions with relevant stakeholders and IT setup
  • Work closely with Director of Finance & Commercial Operations on project status and performance, safeguarding profit margins
  • Audit and enhance workflows and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Experience with project management systems (i.e. Paprika, Monday.com)
  • Experience with Keynote and Excel ideal
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the business
  • Able to lead client meetings and business reviews in a confident and concise manner
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously across different time zones
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Highly proactive, adaptable and self-motivated, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
  • Commercially driven, with a focus on optimising efficiency and profitability
