Senior Project Manager / Project Manager - Geotechnical & Structures
Location: East of England, UK
Tier One Recruitment is seeking experienced Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with expertise in geotechnical, structural, and heavy civil construction.
Working on a major infrastructure programme, these positions will be responsible for delivering technically complex construction packages involving deep excavations, structural works, and major reinforced concrete construction.
We're particularly interested in professionals with experience across:
- Ground improvement and geotechnical construction
- Diaphragm walling and deep excavations
- Bridge construction and heavy civil structures
- Major reinforced concrete construction
- Temporary works, constructability, and construction methodology
This role will suit individuals who have built their careers delivering complex infrastructure projects and understand the realities of managing large-scale construction works safely and efficiently in demanding project environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safe and successful delivery of major geotechnical and structural construction packages
- Manage engineering, construction, and commercial interfaces
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project delivery teams
- Drive programme, budget, quality, and safety performance
- Manage construction risk and ensure buildability throughout delivery
- Support planning, procurement, and construction strategy activities
- Oversee contractor performance and package delivery outcomes
- Foster collaboration across project stakeholders and delivery partners
About You
- Experience delivering major bridge, structural, or geotechnical construction projects
- Strong background working for civil or infrastructure contractors
- Understanding of temporary works, construction sequencing, and complex site operations
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
- Proven track record delivering major infrastructure projects safely and successfully
- Strong commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management capability
