IT Project Manager, Manchester City Centre, 3 days a week in the office.

Financial Services, Fintech, Software Development, Transformation, Replatform, Software Delivery, Change, IT, Regulatory.

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for your next challenge in delivering software development and Transformation projects? We’re recruiting a permanent Project Manager to join a Manchester City Centre Fintech company, with offices conveniently located right next to Piccadilly train station.

As a Senior Project Manager you’ll lead the successful delivery of key technology transformation projects across the organisation, taking ownership of project scope, timelines, budgets and outcomes. You’ll work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and third-party suppliers to ensure projects are delivered effectively and in line with organisational priorities.

Working with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams, you’ll apply Agile and traditional project management approaches to maintain progress, manage risks and ensure delivery remains on track and within budget.

The role requires a hands-on approach, including the completion of project support activities such as reporting, requirements gathering, process mapping and maintaining project documentation.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys leading teams, resolving delivery challenges and driving successful technology project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Project Manager in a fast-paced environment, preferably within financial services (not essential)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and application delivery.
  • Experience with Agile and traditional PM methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and training delivery skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and with different learning styles
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver multiple projects on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical and data interrogation
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Must be prepared to complete requirement gathering, process mapping, project documentation and not rely on stakeholders or support to complete
