Senior Project Manager
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Do you thrive on juggling multiple projects, keeping clients onside, and getting complex pharma programmes over the line? This could be your next move.
Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing business, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity to sit at the heart of the business - bridging the gap between customers and site teams, steering high-value projects from kick-off through to completion.
About the Role
You'll be the go-to person for a portfolio of client projects, balancing timescales, budgets and quality standards while keeping everyone pulling in the same direction. Expect plenty of variety, working alongside Business Development, R&D, Operations, Quality and Finance on projects spanning process development, GMP manufacturing and beyond.
Your Day-to-Day
- Running several projects at once, keeping a close eye on scope, timelines, budgets and key milestones
- Being the main point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and confident every step of the way
- Building and maintaining clear, well-organised project documentation and risk logs
- Spotting problems - and scope changes - before they become issues, and working with clients to find a way forward
- Keeping track of project finances and feeding into revenue reporting
- Supporting and developing newer members of the team
- Helping shape better ways of working across the wider project management function

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
