Senior Project Manager - SC Cleared

The role:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex business and technology transformation projects within a large, highly regulated organisation.

You'll be responsible for driving projects from business case through to delivery, working closely with senior stakeholders, multidisciplinary teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful outcomes. This is an opportunity to lead high-profile change initiatives that improve services, technology and operational capability across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of business cases and secure approval through project governance.
  • Develop and maintain robust project plans, ensuring the appropriate delivery methodology is applied.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and business teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Lead, coach and motivate multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project resources, ensuring effective utilisation and successful delivery.
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
  • Drive benefits realisation, ensuring projects deliver measurable business value.
  • Establish effective project controls, governance and reporting, including budget management and financial oversight.
  • Create a collaborative, delivery-focused environment that enables teams to perform at their best.
  • Remove delivery blockers, resolve issues and ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale business and technology change projects.
  • Strong background in Senior Project Management, including delivery of new products, services or major transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile and Scrum principles.
  • Experience translating strategic roadmaps into structured delivery plans and work packages.
  • Understanding of business architecture, operating models and business transformation.
  • Experience implementing scalable operational processes that reduce risk and improve efficiency.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working in complex, evolving environments.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience working within a highly regulated environment.
  • Recognised Project or Programme Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP or APMP).
