SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Organisation Information:

Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O’Rourke, two of Europe’s most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion. Bylor are pushing the boundaries of innovation and modern technology while delivering high quality construction on a massive scale. Bylor have already broken the UK record for the largest continuous concrete pour of 9,000m3 of concrete. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation that is challenging the industry and making history.

Purpose of the Role:

To provide overall construction delivery leadership for secondary steelwork across the Nuclear Island for Unit 1 and Unit 2, ensuring works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards, within programme and in accordance with the project scope, specifications and applicable nuclear and construction requirements. The role will provide strategic and operational oversight of the secondary steelwork completions team, including the BYLOR Project Managers responsible for the individual areas and work packages, while maintaining overall accountability for the performance and delivery of Tier 2 contractors. The role will ensure that the BYLOR Project Managers are effectively coordinating their respective areas, driving Tier 2 contractor performance, managing interfaces and maintaining alignment with the overall Nuclear Island programme. Reporting directly to the Project Leader, the role will provide clear and timely information on progress, performance, risks, opportunities, constraints and emerging issues affecting secondary steelwork delivery. A key focus will be to establish a consistent approach to secondary steelwork delivery across Unit 1 and Unit 2, ensuring that lessons learned from Unit 1 are captured and embedded into the delivery strategy for Unit 2.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
